(Calamba City, Laguna PH) 8:35 pm EST. According to a report by Luisito Santos on Super Radyo dzBB, nine people were confirmed dead after a Medevac plane crashed in Barangay Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna on Sunday afternoon.

Laguna Police Provincial office confirmed that it received the report about this incident at around 3:34 p.m. Later it was confirmed that the plane was a medical evacuation aircraft carrying eight people from Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte going to Metro Manila for treatment, according to the police report.

According to GMA News, the plane was carrying the following 8 individuals: a certain Dr. Garet; two pilots (to be determined), a Nurse Yamato; two nurses; one EMT and the patient. Even though only eight people had been listed on the manifesto, dzBB confirmed that the nine fatalities had been on the plane.

The recovered bodies are currently being identified for further confirmation according to Jeffrey Rodriguez, head of Calamba City’s Public Order and Safety Office. Lionair Evacuation Team is supporting rescuers currently.

According to police report, two people—John Ray Roca, 19, and Malou Roca, 49—were injured and have been taken to hospital. It was not confirmed in the police report whether they are passengers on the plane.
