GETTING TO KNOW MICHELLE DEE

Dee certainly came from a family of beauty and grace. Apart from being the daughter of a prestigious beauty queen, she is also the cousin of another former Miss World Philippines titleholder, Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Wynwyn Marquez.

But certainly, she doesn’t rely on her lineage alone. The model-slash-actress has been very busy forging her very own identity in the industry. In an interview with entertainment portal Pep, she mentioned that when she was starting out, the beauty queen made it a point to introduce herself simply as Michelle Dee.

“I came to shoots as Michelle Dee. I never told them that I’m also a Marquez until they started asking about my background.”

Bursting out into the scene in 2016, she first modeled for the Filipino clothing store Bench. Being a graduate of BS Psychology from De La Salle University, she is a woman well-rounded with different kinds of interests.

On Instagram, she posts about her acting work over at GMA, fitness, fashion, photography, attending the Pride march, and her apparent love for big bikes.

Dee also shared about a cause close to her heart, which is the welfare of children with special needs. In a video that she released, she shared about the life with two siblings with autism was like. “This world needs to stop forcing a certain reality,” she continues.

She also went to Sagada along with the Center For Possibilities, Inc. to visit a school that caters to children with special needs. “Medical missions are regularly arranged to help families diagnose their children and to help them understand what it truly means to share a life with them. I’m proud to say that it’s been 5 years and progress has been so beautiful,” she said.

Dee proves to be a woman who is more than just beauty. She is a great representation of the Philippines in the national stage.
