BAGUIO CITY, PHILIPPINES – Saint Louis University (SLU) ranked 10th nationwide in the top 10 performing schools in the latest Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination.

SLU bags the 10th and final spot on the list, with 86.02% of its hopefuls passing the board examination for August. Topping the ranks is Batangas State University with 100 percent passing rate, followed by the University of the Philippines – Diliman with 97.33 percent passing rate.

The Professional Regulation Commission says that 3,928 out of 5,563 passed the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination, while 59 out of 137 passed the Certified Plant Mechanic Licensure Examination.
Four Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) graduates topped the board examinations for Mechanical Engineering, including Lester Corpin Toledo, who ranked first with a rating of 94.65 percent.
Coming in second is Hutch Niño Valles from the Bulacan State University – Malolos came in second with 94.05 percent, followed by Reginald Luther Orbiso Sinay from CIT-U with 93.95 percent.
