Superstar actress Mille Bobby Brown takes a step into the beauty world as she announces the launch of her own makeup and skincare brand. Apart from being busy with her hit show Stranger Things, she will also get busy with Florence by Mills, a brand named after Brown’s great-grandmother.
Florence by Mills is described to be a “Gen Z focused” brand, and is said to be PETA-certified, vegan, and cruelty-free. The line includes skin products that Brown herself has grown to love, such as Mascara, Eye Gel Pads, a Light Skin Tint, and more.
“What I want my beauty brand to represent is individuality and embrace who you are. All I know is I want you to feel yourself.”
Speaking to WWD, the Stranger Things star explained that she named her brand after her grandmother because she felt that she is the embodiment of individuality, bravery, and honesty – something a brand she believes that a brand should be all about.
“I’ve been in a makeup chair since I was 10, 11 years old, and I have really been introduced to all types of products. I’ve had special effects on my face, blood, all different types of foundation… I wanted to come into the [makeup and skincare] space because there was a gap in the market for young people.”
In line with her brand being targeted to the younger generation, Florence by Mills’ is just within a Gen Z’s budget. The brand rangers from products that costs $10 to $34. It will also be available for purchase in online stores as well as in storefronts such as Ulta.
Part of the proceeds will go to the Olivia Hope Foundation, which was founded in honor of Brown’s friend Olivia Hope LoRusso, who passed away at age 12 in 2017 after a battle with leukemia.
Aside from being a superstar and now an owner of her own line of beauty products, Brown is also UNICEF’s youngest-ever Goodwill Ambassador, has already collaborated with brands like Calvin Klein, Converse, Pandora, and Moncler.
